It wasn't much of an issue though. The story of the book starts slowly and doesn't really get interesting until much later in the book. Even then, I kept listening just for the sake of finishing the book. I wasn't really invested in the outcome of the shenanigans.
The narrator did a good job with the material provided. Fantastic story with twists and turns I didn't see coming!

Narration was perfect! I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to check out more by this author and narrator! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I'm new to this series but not for long! I was worried that being the eighth book in the series I would have trouble getting into it, having missed so much. Those worries were summarily quashed as I dove in. Wow, what a terrific story! I just couldn't stop listening to this fast-paced thriller laced with quirky characters, humor and great dialogue.
Dick Moonlight, where have you been and why didn't I know about you? I can always count on Andrew B. Wehrlen for topnotch narration and he certainly didn't disappoint here. This review is my honest opinion. I loved this book!

I have listened to several books by Vincent Zandri and Andrew B Wehrlen, and this one is my favorite so far. The story was original, gripping, and oh so good.
I loved the twists this book had. Typically my preferred genre of listening is romance, but I do listen to some mystery and thriller books too. Some of the characters in this book were endearing Moonlight, Elvis, Georgie , while others were despicable the doctor, the senator, the russian mob guys. I loved the imagery the author wrote in this book. The narrator was able to perform several distinguishable characters and was pitch perfect for his narration. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily wrote this review.
This is a standalone listen and part of a series.
Vincent Zandri, Noir Author
I have been awaiting a new Dick Moonlight novel for a while now and, when I read Moonlight Weeps was coming, I intended to take my time and savor each and every word. Second page in, the plan shot out the window and the breakneck pace was on! Vincent Zandri weaves an intricate tale with absolutely no wasted words or pages.
To say Moonlight is a compelling character is an understatement; his expertise, his personality, his knowledge, and his straight-on approach to homicide investigations make him more human to the reader than one might expect from a hard-when-he-needs-to-be detective. If this is your first introduction to the character, I envy you the discovery. If you have followed Dick Moonlight from the start, you will welcome back an old friend! I just discovered the team of Vincent Zandri and Andrew B.
Wehrlen earlier this year. What a treat! They are a perfect match of author and narrator and I am eager to snatch up new books as they come out. It seems to be a.
I definitely recommend this book. It is well read with quirky humor and fun characters. This book is the eighth in the series and I'm just kicking myself for coming so late to this party. This Moonlight guy rocks!!!! First off, major, major, major kudos to the narrator.
Exceptionally perfect. Enthralling and sexy. Masculine and insanely cool. The story is the central figure though. It is a well-written mystery with a very likable central figure Moonlight and a cast of characters - some good, some bad - that kept me engaged to the very end.
I don't know how many characters from this listen were in prior listens but the appearance of Moonlight's deceased girlfriend, an Elvis impersonator as a sidekick, and the fact that he drives a hearse, makes me want to know more. I've got to get the earlier books. I don't know where this series has been but I'm so glad I found it! Moonlight is a Private Eye with a bullet lodged in his head. His most recent client is a brain surgeon.
A pairing made in heaven? Once again Mr. Zandri has written an unusual, fast paced and humerous well written work, replete with snappy one liners. Reading this fun action story is the excellent Andrew Wehrien, whose narration perfectly fits with the character and his sardonic attitude, whilst the voicings of everyone else is distinct and individualistic.
My thanks to the rights holder for gifting me a complementary copy of Moonlight Weeps, at my request, via Audiobook Boom. Great performance, fun book.
